Dorn's method

​

A gentle manual technique, which helps restore bones and joints to their correct position in a natural way. Among the most common problems for dogs, the Dorn method can solve include incorrect position of the bones in the joint capsule, rotations and dips of the vertebrae, displacements of the sacrum and pelvis, blockages of the cervical spine and occiput, stiffness of the body.

Dorn's method is particularly suitable for:

- dogs in sports load

During dog sports, the supporting apparatus of the dog is heavily loaded. Falls and bumps can occur, every injury affects the condition of the spine and joints. Dorn's method returns the components of the skeletal system to the correct physiological position.

- dogs after operations and injuries

When handling an anesthetized dog and when handling a sick dog, bones may shift. Scars and adhesions can also adversely affect the position of bones and joints in the body.

- senior dogs

It helps with problems with the locomotor apparatus, it is effective for dysplasia, luxation, etc.

- dogs from breeding centers and shelters

- dogs in the home environment

Handling the dog affects its health, in the home environment it mainly involves wiping its paws, loading it into the car, pulling on the collar, using flexi leashes, moving on floating floors, jumping from furniture. These actions damage the dog's spine and joints when repeated over a long period of time.

If the dog has an acute problem (e.g. lameness, difficulty moving, etc.), visit a veterinarian first to rule out serious diseases.

!The Dorn method is not a diagnostic method and does not serve as a substitute for treatment by a veterinarian!

When the Dorn method must not be used:

Acute inflammatory conditions, infectious diseases (diarrhoea, vomiting, cough,...), fractures, open wounds, post-traumatic conditions where a muscle has been bruised or damaged, cancer, pregnancy.

Cupping

​

If necessary, after the Dorn method is completed, flasks are applied along the spine. During cupping, the negative pressure of the cup is used (if it is applied, for example, over a sunken vertebra, it will return to its physiological position during movement). Before application, the fur must be shaved to the necessary extent.
